Prayer for a Pastor in Ukraine

Celebrations and joy pass over the country of Ukraine right now, but not God. The Lord keeps working in the hearts of people no matter where they are.

A pastor from Nikolaevskaya deep within Ukraine wrote a letter with the hope that he would be supported in prayer and in need. He is asking for ministers for various ministries as well as choir members. The church has many branches (7 smaller churches) and does a lot of work in many villages of the oblast. Many people who previously served in ministry have run from the war, but pastor Nikolay believers that God has called him to care for the souls who have stayed.

Despite the war, there are many people who seek fellowship and come to the meetings. There’s a need for evangelistic gatherings, in Christian kids camps, and funeral services. Many fear for their lives and have left because of these horrible circumstances, but many have also stayed.

Pray for revival in Nikolay’s city and oblast, that where he labors God would fulfill his ministries and bring to him new helpers—committed ministers! Nikolay is one of the ministers who is supported by our church, so we are especially responsible to not only help financially but also spiritually, continually praying for his ministry.
