Weekly Newsletter 04/21/2022
Shalom!
Some of you wondered about David who promised to come to church. Today we visited him, and he explained that he could not make it to church. He again promised to try his best to come to church next Sunday. Please continue to pray for his soul. If you have a desire to help him, there is a need to mow the grass in the garden (with weed-wacker) . For the health reasons, he cannot mow the grass, and it grew very high. If you have the desire to go do that, he is open for our help. Please, let me know.
It’s necessary for us to periodically do a self-examination where we ask ourselves questions that will help us determine where we are and what we need to pay closer attention to. Take a few minutes and “keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching” (1 Tim. 4:16). Specifically, under each question grade yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is where you are at your worst and 10 is where you have achieved perfection in this question.
- Is Christ real to me?
- Can I generally be called a grateful (thankful) person?
- Do I fight with hypocrisy in my life (do I create the impression that I am better than I am?)
- Do I let the Bible speak to me every day?
- Do I enjoy praying?
- Have I been using my money as a faithful steward?
- Am I currently working on specific things in my character?
- Do I memorize Scripture?
- Do I fight impure thoughts, irritation, resentment, or criticism of others?
- Do I forgive those who offend, disrespect, or insult me?
- Do I serve the Body of Christ, the church (about 10 hours a week)?
- Do I love and pursue fellowship with other believers?
- Do I struggle with pride?
- Do I distance myself from gossip (don’t gossip myself and stop others)?
- Do I fight laziness?
- Am I accountable to anyone?
- Am I free from slavery to dress, friends, work, or habits?
- Do I share about my faith with others?
- Do I give to God what belongs to Him (tithing)?
- Do I go to bed on time and get up on time?
- Do I spend my free (spare) time wisely?
- Do I defeat my lusts (pornography, lustful thinking, masturbation)?
- Do I accept criticism towards myself well?

Prayer for the ministry in Poland:
Beloved, we continue praying for the work of Joseph among the refugees in Poland. Here is what he asks us to pray for:
Beloved, we continue praying for the work of Joseph among the refugees in Poland. Here is what he asks us to pray for:
- The guidance of the Holy Spirit in serving the people who are going through loss, grief, pain, and tears… There are thousands of people, but we can only help some.
- Wisdom in helping people – there are more needs than we can fulfill so it is important to help those with the highest priority.
- The development of teamwork in helping people.
- Caring for the spiritual condition of believers who are serving the refugees – unfortunately there is a weakening in being in the Word and prayer.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT – IN EVERYTHING WE DO AND WILL DO – THAT CHRIST AND THE GOSPEL WOULD BE CENTRAL.

Scripture To Memorize
O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
