CHRISTMAS AS A HOLIDAY OF WORSHIP

The Christmas night for ladies at GFC was full of Christmas spirit, joyful talks and fruitful discussions. Lots of smiles and complements were received by the table hosts for impressive table decor.

Less so was the night for men, who stayed at home alone with kids, but they stood their ground and carried routinely women’s duty with flying colors. We could get that from the blend of heroism and sorrow at the end of the poem written by one of the brothers:

“We will cope with our fate, don’t doubt that we can!

Today is surely your day, even though, without men…” ?

Our women were surely grateful for the rare and unique opportunity – to spend some time away from the home chores and enjoy the fellowship.

Table discussions were summed up by Pastor’s sermon. The topic was around worship as a natural reaction to the birth of Christ. Well-known Christmas story taught everyone some important lessons: Herod appeared to be an example of how sin blocks your worship. Wise men however showed the bright example of true worship by their proper reaction to the truth, obedience, humility and sacrifice.

It is about heart work, it is all about praise, joy and gratitude, coming from the heart.

Let Newborn Christ keeps amazing us and bring to the true and sincere worship.
