“To live Is Christ” Youth Conference
In a world struggling for happiness and satisfaction, we as Christians can—and should—take the lead in helping people find true and lasting joy in Christ Jesus! The Gospel not only offers us salvation from eternal damnation but also leads to a life filled with joy, peace, love, and hope. This is not merely a theory or a future promise to admire, but a reality we can experience here and now. For many believers, however, the idea of a satisfied life in Christ feels distant or confusing.
Our goal for this conference is to address these struggles, so that young people will no longer search in vain or wrestle with how to build a vibrant, enriching, and empowering relationship with Christ. We pray that they will rise up as a new wave of Gospel-influencers in this world. Yes, our ultimate goal is not simply that we enjoy the sweet fellowship of God through Christ, but that we also live as powerful and effective witnesses in this world.
Through the messages and discussions, we will explore what it means to love Christ, to imitate Him, to know Him, and to rejoice in Him. This conference will be encouraging to those who have lost their zeal in their spiritual walk. It will be uplifting for those who feel weary in ministry and have lost the joy of doing good. And it will be life-changing for those who long to know God and truly understand the Gospel, for the Gospel will guide us at every step of our study through the Book of Philippians.
We will walk through the entire book, chapter by chapter, examining how a relationship with Christ transforms the heart. Scripture promises personal transformation to everyone who dives into God’s Word—expect nothing less. We pray that God, in His mercy and grace, will bring that transformation to everyone who joins us at this conference.
Why are we sharing this with you, dear Church? There are several ways you can take part in making this conference a blessing for many young people.
First, we earnestly ask you to pray for this event. The conference will take place on November 7-8. There are still almost two months left to pray for God’s work, both in the hearts of the preachers (Vitaliy Pelikhatyy, Peter Kondrashev, and Dmitriy Zherebnenkov) as they work on preparing messages, and in the hearts of the youth as they make the decision to register and attend. Pray that God would stir many young people to be part of the conference. Pray for the team who will be organizing this event and for everyone involved in the preparations. And pray for your own hearts, that you too may take part in this good work.
Second, along with prayer, please consider your abilities and discuss whether you might host young people from other cities overnight. We expect youth from several churches outside of Sacramento to join us. It would be a wonderful testimony for them if we could show Christian hospitality by opening our homes to guests for two nights.
Third, we need additional help in running the conference itself. Assistance will be needed in the kitchen, with parking, security, possibly transportation to the church building, and other technical aspects of the event.
If you have any questions regarding the conference, please contact Denis Nedorezov (916) 812-7372. If you have any questions or have to the desire to serve by hosting, you may contact Evelina Nedorezov (916) 305-1929.
