The final day of Kids Bible School

Last Thursday marked the final day of Kids Bible School for the year.

Kids, parents, teachers, helpers, and the church came together to celebrate God’s care for the church through children’s ministry as we graduated our sixth graders.

We reflected on how Jesus is continuing what He began long ago—growing His kingdom now through the Holy Spirit among our children.

I am grateful to all who participated and prayed for our school.

My prayer is for all families to grow in their saving knowledge of Jesus Christ (1 Tim 2:4), and for all parents to continue preaching the gospel to their children—the very means by which God has ordained that they might be saved (Rom 10:13–16).

This year, just like in previous years, our graduating students were given an assignment: to write an essay about their best Bible School lesson, their favorite Bible character, or their most cherished memory verse.

Friends, I want to express my immense joy in reading these essays. It is clear that each and every student put in tremendous effort. As I read through them, I found myself deeply grateful to God for His work in their hearts.

I can truly see that our students are falling in love with His Word—and that it is powerfully shaping their lives.

Below, I’m sharing the essays they wrote. You will be blessed by them.

Scripture To Memorize

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
