Weekly Newsletter 12/02/2021
Peace to you!
Many of you were able to have a great time around the dinner table this past Thursday. This is definitely a unique opportunity to invite friends and close ones for fellowship. During this time we talk about God and how Christ transforms our lives. Thanksgiving is the beginning of a season when we can organically and more often have such fellowship. Christmas and the New Year are drawing near when we can repeat these types of gatherings.
Here’s one request and encouragement: please invite unbelievers to your gatherings. Quite often we think that they won’t come so we don’t even bother inviting them, but this is not the case! Many people are starved for fellowship. Invite people who need Jesus, and spend your evening the way you normally do. They don’t need to see your “proper” discussions or “proper” behavior, they need to see you just as you are. And this will influence since you have the Gospel in your life!
This Sunday you will have the opportunity to take invitations for our Christmas concert (a night of music) on December 19. These invitations are so that we could pass them out to our friends and people we know. The concert will all be in English.
There is one non-standard ad. Recently, several people shared that they had seen the movie “Paul, Apostle of Christ” (2018) and were very inspired by it. We listened to the recommendations, and watched it… and now, I would like to encourage you to watch this film too. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/Paul-Apostle-Christ-Jim-Caviezel/dp/B07C45SV37 This film will help you understand the context of the writing of the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts.
There’s one more sad but joyful piece of news that we want to share with you. This Tuesday morning, Nikolay Georgievich Zavorotny, left his relatives here on Earth but was accepted by his Lord into the heavens. At this time we need to unite in prayer for the relatives so that God would send his comfort and grace in figuring out all the necessary questions at this time. The memorial service will be on Tuesday (December 7) at 7:00 PM; funeral, on Wednesday (December 8) at 9:30 AM (Quiet Haven).
This week we are beginning the last month of the church Bible reading plan. Please join.

Scripture To Memorize
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
